This demo showcases SafeWalk's real-time object detection, adaptive audio alert system, and scene description feature powered by a visual-language model. The app was tested in a real-world urban environment using an Android phone with voice guidance enabled.

🔎 Real-Time Detection

Detects nearby obstacles (bicycles, poles, stairs, cars, etc.) using the phone’s camera, powered by our YOLOv5s model.

🗣️ Adaptive Voice Alerts

Provides smart voice alerts like “Be careful” or “Object on your left” based on distance and direction.

🌇 Scene Descriptions

Returns detailed scene summaries using our Qwen2 visual-language model and reads them aloud via TTS.
